Touring England for the First Time

I always wanted to go on a trip to England to see the majestic architectural wonders that they have in the country. The place is of course; known for its rich history, dating back when America was not yet discovered and everyone is under the Queen’s rule. The castles and other magnificent edifices are really well-made to perfection and I know that my photography will very much improve in there. That is why when my friend told me about the promotions that are available in the internet, I immediately took advantage of them to book a flight to Europe. I was able to get a Viator.com coupon code, where I get a nice touring package within the place. I believe that it would be a good idea to have a guide since I haven’t been to the place yet. Another one that I got was the Rail Europe Promo Code, where I get to ride their trains in a discounted price, and should be able to get me to the places that I want to see. Finally, the Hotels.com Promotion Codes provided me some available discounts for my stay in Europe and I just can’t wait for my schedule to come!

A Place to Visit: Moscow

There are a lot of spots that can be visited within Russia, despite the connotation that the only thing to see in the country is ice. Main cities and some other spots are really worth visiting… but I have to say that Moscow is the best place to go. Known for Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the Russian ballet, and its famous Zoo, Moscow is essentially the heart of Russia. Tourism is frequent during winter through the Trans-Siberian Railway, when the city is covered in powdery snow and colored by a glittering night sky. Summer trips are less frequent, though more comfortable, and offer a warmer chance to see the sights of this historic city. Moscow is a fascinating city full of old world charm mixed with post-Soviet growth. It is full of old buildings with beautiful carved facades and pale pastel colors. Old women wearing head scarves and young people scantily clad can be seen rushing up and down the streets. It is the land of the bare midriff and garishly dyed hair! English is not really spoken at all here, though, and you won’t find signs in English, so learn how to read the Cyrillic alphabet and learn some basic phrases! A helpful guidebook is essential, with a metro map in English and Russian inside. If all else fails, you can

always try their adventure travel where you can ride a Mig-29 fighter jet and be the jet pilot yourself.

Portugal Getaway

I was able to have some experience when we went to Portugal for a whole week vacation from work. We went to a place they call Sundowner Algarve Portugal, where everything is really exceptional and we were able to have fun more inside the villa than going to a trip around the place. The furnishings and decorations were really fascinating as we were able to enjoy the full benefit of the place and do all sorts of relaxation. We were able to do barbecuing and was able to catch the NBA playoffs as well because they have cable TV. What made me really impressed is the swimming pool. Of all the resorts that I have ever been in, it was the only one that I have ever seen where you can heat up the water of the whole swimming pool! All in all, it was indeed a place where you should go to have fun and relaxation because it was one of the most complete amongst the villas in Portugal. I have never been in a great place such as that and I just could not wait any longer for our next visit in to that heaven of a place.

I Need to Ski!!!

Winter is just about over but I just can’t accept the fact that I wasn’t able to fully take advantage of the snow and go to a skiing trip with my family… That’s why I decided, I am not about to wait for another year to see the snow and I’ll see to it that me and my family will be able to go to a ski resort. I found a list of some good spots for skiing and the places seems to be nice. First is in Whistler/Blackcomb, British Columbia, which is consistently voted to be the “Best North American Ski Resort” by North Americans and “Favorite International Destination” by the Japanese people. Second is in Kitzbuhel, Austria, which has a charming 700-year old village that is considered “Pearl of Alps”, then there’s the one in Zermatt, Switzerland with a picturesque village that is ranked as Switzerland’s top resort. It has world’s second biggest lift-served vertical drop. Then there’s the one in Banff/Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada where it has been ranked as one of the most scenic mountain resorts in North America. There are still some more but I think I should make sure of one important thing… before going to the places, I should see to it that there will be snows in those area…

Things That Need Not Be Overlooked

It is always vital to take care of your wellbeing, whether you are staying at home or basically travelling on the road, but there are some extra concerns that are imperative to keep in mind when you are traveling. Something that I found out when trying to browse for some travel tips to make things easier for me by the time that we visit Barbados next month for self birthday gift and of course, spend time with my family. There were some pretty interesting tips that I was able to get and one of them is to make sure not to take a vacation from health… It means to take some safety health measures first before actually going for the trip because the last thing that you would want is to get sick while having your vacation. It was also said that there are three most common health problems that a traveler encounter and those three are jet lag, altitude sickness and the gross one, the traveler’s diarrhea. There are some things you can do to combat jet lag; for example, if you’re traveling from west to east, you should stay out of the sun until the day after your arrival. If you’re flying from east to west, go for a brisk walk as soon as possible after you arrive. Altitude sickness can be fixed with a dose of Acetazolamide, while diarrhea can of course be prevented with choosing the food and water intake carefully.

Where Do I Go?

I’m trying to find some places to go to so I could have a private time with myself and I have seen some famous travel destinations that I think I could go to since I think my budget can afford one of them, although I’m just not sure which to pick. Avalon, Santa Catalina Island is the first one on the list, which is only 22 nautical miles off the coast of California, making the trip short and cheaper. Another one is Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Island and one of the “must see” spots on a Caribbean cruise and truly great bargains for shoppers. Geiranger, Norway is another place to go according to the list where it was said to be ringed by waterfalls and snow capped mountains and was said that the best way to get there is on a cruise of the Norwegian fjords. Then there’s Hong Kong, which of course is the former crown jewel of the British colonies with spectacular modern architecture, beautiful harbor and great shopping. Honolulu, Oahu is another place to consider because it is the point of entry for most visitors to the Hawaiian Islands. Just wish I could make up my mind on where to go before the effectivity of my vacation leave.

Hiking and Stuff that I know… sort of

My friend is asking me for some hiking tips for some reason that he said I am the most reliable person to speak with when it comes to these kinds of things, when the fact is, I only had one mountain hiking experience and it wasn’t exactly a big mountain. Anyway, I told him some tips that my friend also gave me when we did our hiking trip and I guess I was able to tell him some good stuff. I told him that he should always have hiking rhythm and walking rhythm. A good steady Hiking and Walking Rhythm will improve his overall Hiking performance, endurance, and pleasure. It will also increase the distance that he can go and his overall comfort level. He should know why Hiking Rhythm is so important and how he can learn and maintain a good Walking Rhythm. Sadly, I don’t know much about it so I guess he would need to do some research as well, which probably made him hate me a little for giving him incomplete information. That’s probably why he sent me an email with an attachment of some information about hiking rhythm with the title “Here’s something you should know”

Finding Tickets like Easter Eggs

I’m want to go on a trip but then again, I have no destinations yet… the reason is because I am waiting for the right timing and the right place to go to, which I would be able to get in a cheaper price. I checked out some tips for booking cheap plane tickets and I found out that the cheapest tickets are available about 21 days in advance, so I should probably look for some trips available for the next month. It simply means that the earlier I book the more options I will get to choose from. I should also keep a tab on special sales announced by airlines, since periodically many airlines publish special offers or fare tables valid for set periods of time. So, I can take advantage of such special promotions. Another thing is to make sure that I look at several sites and make comparisons of what they have. I need to make sure that I see every package so I can choose the best for me. There are also some web directory sites that ease travel by bringing to one stop many leading discount ticket websites. If I use such sites, it will minimize hassles and find me the best deals possible. Anyway, I guess I’m off to find me some tickets…
